0 Rohingyas in Bangladesh

Thousands of Rohingyas from Burma came to Bangladesh in 1978 and again  in 1991 as refugees. They were refugees because their condition concided with the relevant criteria laid down by the 1951 Convention Relating to the status of Refugees and the 1976 Protocol Relating to the status of Refugees Although Bangladesh is not a signatory to the Convention and the Protocol, Memorandums of Understanding were signed by the UNHCR with both the Government of Bangladesh and Burma and on the basic of these ‘understandings’ UNHCR has taken over the situation concerning these Rohingya refugees.
In 1978 some 200,000 Rohingyas crossed the border into Bangladesh. At that time the Bangladesh Government claimed that there were as many as 252,000 Rohingya refugees while Burma acknowledged a number of 143,900 who , according to the Burmese authorities, absconded to Bangladesh in order to escape the Nagmin Project. Following the negotiations between the two governments in June-July, 1978, an agreement was reached on the repatriation of the refugees to Burma. The repatriation operation  commenced on 1st August. 1978 and ended on 29th December, 1978 and involved repatriation of total of 187,250 refugees (Abrar, 1995)                                  Read more

0 Libyan rebels will soon understand

I have never been to Libya and have not studied about this country very much . However , i had the opportunity to  talk with many people who stayed in Libya for a few years . i fund that everybody was  highly impressed with the leadership what blunder they have made by removing Gaddafi . Libya had nothing before Gaddafi took charge. Gaddafi may not have been elected by the people but he has ensured food, housing, education and medical facilities to all the citizens which most of the governments (even the so - called democratic , but corrupt governments) failed to five . Western world needs both Libyan blood and oil. they got the first one and will get the oil soon. the world is for mighty people and not for the good people at this moment .

It's worth mentioning that during 1964-1985 when thousands of people had been starving to death in Ethiopia,  European Economic Community destroyed fruits worth billions of dollars instead of giving them to those starving people. is not Gaddafi much more  Humanist then those European leaders?

At the same time, I express my respect to the European Pop signer Bob.Geld of for raising money for those hungry people . It appears European leaders have learned nothing good from Bod. I feel pity for such looters when they talk about human rights .

0 Thai activist seeks to thwart PM elect Yingluck

Days after Thailand Voted for a new government Led by the country's first woman prime a minister , a determined doctor with a kanck for rallying crowds is pursuing legal action to bring her down. Tul sitthisomwong a die- hard opponent of self exiled former prime minster elect, yingluck is unfit to rule and accuses her before she takes office. Tul denies he is a puppet for the power ful forces who have long tried to thwart the twice -elected Thaksin but says yingluck is unfit to rule and accuses her of giving false testimony involving her brother three years ago.
The next prime minister has been involved in corruption and we fear this will be the beginning of another cycle that cannot be broken " Tul a lecturer , gynaecologist and obstetrician told Reuters .

"Yingluck has promised to follow brother Thaksin policies , but thaksin 's policy was corruption and we can't accept that " sais tTul , who mobilised thousands of demonstrators last year incounter - protests against a nine- week occupation of central Bangkok by  Thaksin's red shirted supporters Tul is a member of the royalist peoples alliance  for Democracy or yellow shirts " Thaksin was convicted in absentia of araft in 2008 but control's puea Thai from exile in Dubai , refusing to serve a two year jail term he says was contrived by the country's military and royalist establishment to  keep him at day.
The supreme court last year seized $1.4 billion of Thaksin assets , which it said were accrued while he was prime minister from 2001-2005. Legal experts say the complaint which covers at least five members of the shinawatra  family is not without grounds and is a potentially explosive issue that could further divide thailand between those who revere and revile thaksin.

Many analysts Expect thaksin's opponents to fight back at some point in future either through the military , the PAD or through the courts actions they say could escalate thailand s polarising and violent six year political crisis.
Thailand courts have not shied away from political cases especially those involving Thaksin and his allies.

0 Living in a Death Trep

It is quite obvious, that the traffic situation in Dhaka is out of control. There is a  noticeable in increase in the number of vehicles on the roads but no visible signs if the authorities trying to improve the situation, say by improving the condition of the roads , and improving traffic rules and regulations .But being stuck  in a gridlock on the roads every day seems harmless compared to the tragic consequences caused by the lack of traffic control road accidents .

Not a day goes by when there is n't gruesome vehicular accident splashed  all over the headlines a large number of these being fatal.just recently, 40 school children died in a horrible accident in misarai because the driver was distracted by a conversation on his cell phone a direct of traffic rules  . Dr Hasib Mohammad Ahsan, the director of  the accident research institute (ARI) says : accidents happen because of many reasons . The  first of tained properly as per the safety standards set by the laws . vehicles are often defective or overloaded and the  roads are not built to bear this weight also , drivers are irresponsible anf do not abide by the traffic rules . in my opinion the pedestrians are equally irresponsible and cross roads recklessly" According to ahsan, this irresponsibility comes from the lack of awareness about the basic rules " Most propel can not  recognise road signs and traffic signals " he says " lst year ,54  percent of  people who died in accidents were pedestriand "

The National Legislation has set many traffic regulations . The motor vehicle ordinance of 1983 sates that the maximum speed limit for light vehicles such as cars and motorcycles is 113 Kilometers per hour for buses and minibuses it is set at 56 kmph , for trucks it is 40 kamph and for fire trucks 48 kmph of course speed limits    vary according to zones such as in front of sehools and hospitals or in residential areas. Unfortunately, very few people abide by the speed limit, especially drivers of heavy vehicles such ad trucks  and buses.
